the goal
With Love, Yami is a rebrand of a rebrand of a rebrand really. Back in 2013 when my middle kid was just one, I launched a ridiculously awesome online children's boutique called Chicky Pop. It was fun, until it wasn't, and about two years later I shut it down and drifted back to blogging. I wandered the blogging streets aimlessly for a few years while I finished my BA and MA, pushing out random posts and working with brands for Starbucks money. I was, "The Simple Type" until late 2020. I started doing more DIY projects around the house and that renewed my desire to fully step into the role of content creator. A name change was in order to go with my new sense of purpose and thus, The Grounded Home was born. But wait, yes the name changed AGAIN..more on that later...
Everything finally started to click and I've been building this community of awesomeness ever since. Oh, and the rates definitely went up.
What you see is truly what you get here. I'm transparent about a lot of things (like debt) while still keeping other parts of my life, like my marriage, private.
Sometimes the content you consume can make you feel like you aren't enough. Like you need to be doing more or buying more and in the end you're just spinning your wheels trying to live a life someone else is trying to sell you on.
My intent is to not add to that noise...
FINDING INSPIRATION FROM
Quiet evenings, time reading, good skincare, and journaling into the notebooks I can't stop buying.
Based in South Jersey, I'm a blogger, and content creator.
My 9-5 finds me in combat boots and Army fatigues and when I get home the focus shifts to my family. There's a husband who keeps me grounded and three kids who keep me on my toes. They're 15, 10 and 4 and I find that parenting kids at different stages of life brings some pretty unique challenges.
